Your loyal sidekicks FOR scalable software and quantitative models

“I knew I wanted the values of my company to represent qualities that I value in myself and others: genuine, loyal, dependable, driven, skilled….etc. It took quite a while for me to decide but I eventually thought of my best friend, Gatsby. Gatsby represented the best in all these qualities, and we hiked nearly every day and mountain biked often. I figured being a best friend and sidekick while navigating the technical trails of business and finance was a good metaphor for what I wanted to be for my clients.
Gatsby was an amazing trail dog and is a core inspiration for the Trail Dogs mission and brand. He is dearly missed.”

Areas of Expertise
FINANCE
Having one of the fastest moving technological landscapes, the financial sector is ripe with opportunity. Floods of information change by the nanosecond and models are rapidly developed and abundant. Firms fight to stay in the vanguard to earn competitive profits. Trail Dog Software has deep roots and experience in the financial industry—solving problems in this area is our bread and butter.
Software
Software is the lifeblood of many companies and can make or break a business. Technology that forces users to become used to quirks and workarounds is insidious. We strive to build clean, concise programs and models to spec. No fluff and no workarounds to become accustomed to. From development to consulting, let us use our experience and expertise to get you where you want to go.
applied Mathematics
Math is at the core of everything. It’s inescapable—especially in science and finance. Our pack works hard to make sure that any quantitative development we do is sound, applicable, and useful. There are many examples of misused mathematics and ignorant models. We know the consequences of a poor model can be devastating. All of our models and algorithms are put through rigorous testing so you can feel confident using them.
